BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS
These terms and conditions apply to all trips booked prior to July 1st 2023.
It is the responsibility of each guest to read the terms and conditions of your booking. Your booking is bound by these terms. Payment of Deposit to Sheenco Travel signifies acceptance of the following terms and conditions;
Passage to Ireland/Britain:
Sheenco Travel provides a ‘land only’ service -an incoming tour operator. Sheenco Travel therefore is not responsible for passenger travel into or out of Ireland/Britain. Sheenco Travel may sell airline tickets as part of an affiliate program but all responsibility for the sale of the airline rests with the licensed agent. Sheenco Travel will not be responsible for any delays, cancellations or other hindrance of passage to your point of entry.
Deposits & Payments:
For bookings made more than 90 days before departure, a non-refundable 25% deposit of the land-cost total is required. The remaining balance is due 90 days prior to departure. There are certain exceptions to these deposit requirements for certain products and they are listed below. If full payment is not received, reservations will automatically cancel and deposit payment become forfeit. No travel documents or confirmation numbers will be e-mailed out until full payment has been received. We are pleased to accept payment by Visa and MasterCard. Payments by Discover and American Express will incur an additional service fee of 2%. We can also accept wire transfers. Bookings made within 60 days of arrival must be paid in full by wire transfer. In this case Sheenco Travel will supply bank details to process payment by wire transfer.
Travel Insurance:
Having valid Travel Insurance is a requirement of booking with Sheenco Travel. By purchasing any products / services from Sheenco Travel, it is understood that this is agreed by all parties of all groups. Insurance should cover at least; medical emergencies, trip cancellation, trip interruption, delays, medical evacuation, and lost, damaged, or stolen luggage.

Cancellations:
Package tour dates are not guaranteed. Should tour suppliers cancel the itinerary prior to arrival Sheenco Travel will offer the next available date at no additional land cost. If this is not acceptable, a full refund of the cost of the tour will be made. Sheenco Travel cannot accept responsibility for any extra fees or costs relating to such a package booking. If you have purchased an airline ticket which is non-refundable, make certain you understand the conditions under which the ticket is issued – as due to non-refundable airfares Sheenco Travel is not responsible for any cancellation penalties.
General Cancellation Fees:
Up to 90 days before date of arrival – loss of deposit
Between 89 to 30 days before date of arrival – 50%
less than 30 days before date of arrival – 100%
Amendment Fees:
You will be charged, an amendment fee of $30 (“Amendment Fee”) by Sheenco Travel for all permitted passenger-initiated changes made, after receipt of deposit or full payment by Sheenco Travel. Hotels, Car Rental companies, Coach Hire etc. may charge additional fees for changes or cancellation. Changes to or cancellation of part or all of your travel package must be notified to Sheenco Travel in writing before we can make any changes or cancellations.
Travel Documents
Travel Documents including confirmation numbers will be emailed 14 days in advance of departure date.
Unused package arrangements:
With regard to unused accommodations, services or features of any package Sheenco Travel cannot make refunds or exchanges unless agreed upon prior to departure. Any disputes or claims should be submitted to Sheenco Travel in writing no later than 28 days after the end of the tour.
Trip Delay:
Sheenco Travel will not be in a position to reimburse or compensate for lost travel arrangements due to your arrival into Ireland/Britain being delayed beyond your scheduled arrival date because of delay or cancellation by the air carrier.
Car Rental:
Reservations will be secured on receipt of your deposit. It is the Guests responsibility to notify Sheenco Travel if they are in breach of any of the car rental company’s terms & conditions. See separate Terms and Conditions for the Car Rental Companies shown at the end of this document.
Please Note a credit card imprint is required from the Car Rental company when you are picking up your car to cover any excess (deductible), fuel deposit etc. All our Car rentals include all compulsory insurance, unlimited mileage, and all taxes. Any rentals where the vehicle is not returned to the same location as it is collected will be subjected to a one way fee payable directly to your Rental Car company at pick up time. Your car rental company will offer additional optional insurances at the point of pick up. This and any other optional extras (additional driver(s), child seats, GPS, etc) will be billed directly to you by the car rental company.
Please be advised we use different companies in Ireland and the UK so please ensure you review the correct ones that relate to your package. For combined trips to Ireland and the UK you may be using both car rental companies in which case you will need to review the detailed terms and conditions for both countries. Hotel Accommodation:
Reservations will be secured on receipt of your deposit. Sheenco Travel will book the hotels requested by the Guest but will offer an alternative of the same standard as close as possible to the location requested if the Guest’s first choice is not available. Where the first choice of accommodation is not available and the alternative offered is not suitable the booking deposit/payment on your hotel accommodation is refundable.
Chauffeur Driven Tours
Reservations will be secured on receipt of your deposit. All Chauffeur Driven Tours include all taxes and fees, driver’s expenses, vehicle rental, gas, insurance.Optional extra costs to be covered by guest include tolls, ferries and parking costs. Gratuity not included. Driver/Guides are available for 8 hours per day in accordance with Irish/UK law with a minimum overnight rest period of 11 hours.
Escorted Coach Tours:
Reservations will be secured on receipt of your deposit. When you make your confirmation with us any change or cancellation you make will be subject to cancellation penalties or change fees. Please specify preferred room type at time of booking. Sheenco Travel reserve the right to change any tour itinerary as required.
Responsibility:
Sheenco Travel, is not responsible for any property damage, personal injury or other loss incurred by a guest on any travel (organized by Sheenco Travel), arising omissions or acts by any hotel, air carrier, car rental company, subcontractor or other person or organization, public transport company, whether or not the company in question is performing services provided to Sheenco Travel. All vouchers and tickets are supplied and issued subject to the foregoing and to any terms and conditions under which transportation and services are rendered. Sheenco Travel does not accept responsibility for losses or expenses due to changes or delays in schedules or flight cancellations due to war, mechanical problems, strikes, sickness, quarantine, weather or other causes. Customers must bear all such expenses or losses.
Applicable Law:
Guests contract with Sheenco Travel is subject exclusively to and is governed by and constructed in accordance with the laws of the countries they are visiting (Ireland/Britain) and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of those countries (Irish/Britain) courts.

Additional Driver | Additional drivers must meet all renter requirements. Additional drivers can be added to the rental agreement if they visit any rental location and present their driving license. A daily surcharge of 18.33 GBP will apply at airport locations and 15.60 GBP at all other locations. |
After Hours | Vehicles can typically only be rented and returned within the official opening hours. Please contact the local rental branch to enquire about possible after-hours rentals and returns. |
Age Requirements | The minimum age to rent for all vehicles is 30. Renters aged 25 or older may rent cars and SUVs of the categories Mini, Economy, Compact, Intermediate and Standard, Small Passenger Vans as well as Cargo Vans. No additional surcharges apply. Renters aged 19 years or older who have held a full driving license for at least one year, can access a vehicle through Enterprise Car Club. Find more information at www.enterprisecarclub.co.uk. |
Damage Waiver (DW) | Damage Waiver (DW) reduces the deductible in the event of damage or theft of the vehicle, when no responsible third party is identified. If DW is not included in the reservation, it is available for purchase at the rental counter. Before purchasing DW it is advised to determine, if a personal coverage is adequate to cover damage, theft, loss of revenue, administration fees, diminishment of value, and any towing, storage or impound fees. If DW is declined, the renter will be required to pay these charges and seek compensation through their carrier of personal coverage. DW is not insurance. |
Cross Border | Customers who collect a vehicle from the UK mainland and wish to drive within the Republic of Ireland or mainland Europe are required to purchase European Travel Coverage. European Travel Coverage provides the customers with our written consent (VE103B form) to drive the vehicle in the countries stated below and to access 24/7 international breakdown cover through the AA. |
In all cases, customers must inform the rental branch of their intention to leave the UK mainland with the vehicle and require our authorization. Customers are required to inform the rental branch with no less than 72 hours’ notice prior to collecting the vehicle to arrange their European Travel Coverage. | |
European Travel Coverage is only available to customers paying with a credit card and the vehicle must only be used in the following countries: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, UK. This includes the destination and any countries customers might travel through. Premium, Luxury and Executive vehicles are excluded from the European Travel Coverage product and are therefore not allowed to leave the country. | |

Please note that we are unable to provide any additional equipment that may be compulsory for driving abroad (e.g. breathalyzers, warning triangles, first aid kits etc.) and this responsibility rests on the driver. Customers are therefore required to be aware of any requirements of the destination and any countries or regions customers might travel through. Debit Cards | Debit cards are accepted. Large SUVs, Large Passenger Vans and cars of the categories Elite, Fullsize, Premium, Luxury and Executive require a credit card. Renters with residence in the UK who wish to use a debit card will need to pass an online address check as verification of residence at their given address. Any customer failing the check will not be allowed to rent. |
Airports Only – Debit cards are accepted at the time of rental with a round trip plane ticket or flight itinerary that shows the renter’s name and discloses the return date. Debit cards are not accepted from local customers. Local renters must present a valid credit card in the renter’s name. If using a payment source registered outside of the United Kingdom, this location cannot be responsible for any fluctuations in the currency exchanges while the deposit is being held. | |

Forms of Payment | All major debit and credit cards (issued by either Visa, Mastercard or American Express) are accepted. All cards presented must be in the renter’s name. A security deposit plus the estimated cost of the rental will be taken at the time of rental. |
Cash, checks, prepaid cards, Diners Club and Discover Card are not accepted. | |
For all cars and SUVs of the categories Mini, Economy, Compact, Standard, Small Passenger Vans and Cargo Vans a deposit of 200.00 GBP is required. These vehicles may be rented with a debit or credit card. Large Passenger Vans, Compact Elite, large SUVs and all Premium vehicles require a deposit of 500.00 GBP. For Luxury and Executive vehicles, a deposit of 1000.00 GBP applies. A credit card is mandatory to rent these vehicles. | |

Grace Period | One rental day is a complete or partial period of 24 consecutive hours from the start of the rental period. On return, a grace period of 29 minutes will be applied if the 24-hour period is exceeded before an extra day applies. Beyond this grace period, an additional day at the local rate will be charged. |
Exclusive Rates | Total charges include unlimited mileage, third party liability, road fund license and VAT. Damage waiver is not included and must be taken unless alternative coverage can be verified at the time of rental. Additional protection products may be purchased. |
Excess Protection | Excess Protection (EP) is an optional coverage that reduces the applicable deductible. If EP is not included in the reservation, it is available for purchase at the rental counter. Before purchasing EP it is advised to determine, if a personal coverage is adequate to cover damage, theft, loss of revenue, administration fees, diminishment of value, and any towing, storage or impound fees. If EP is declined, the renter will be required to pay these charges and seek compensation through their carrier of personal coverage. EP is not insurance. |
Inclusive Rates | Total charges include unlimited mileage, damage waiver with an excess including theft protection, third party liability, road fund license, and VAT. Additional protection products are available. Mileage restriction may apply. Additional surcharges may apply. |
Maximum Length of Rental | The maximum length of a rental contract is 28 days. If after 28 days customers wish to extend their rental, they must pay for the next 28 days upfront, regardless of how long they intend to drive the vehicle. If the vehicle is returned sooner, unused days will be refunded. |
One Way | All rentals where the vehicle is not returned to the same location as it is collected will be subject to a one way fee of up to £150. |
One way rentals are allowed within all of the UK, including Northern Ireland. | |

Refueling | If the renter does not choose to purchase an optional fuel product at the start of the rental period and does not return the vehicle with the same level of fuel as at the start of the rental period (as indicated on the Rental Agreement) the renter will be required to pay a refueling service fee calculated as the difference between the fuel level recorded on the Rental Agreement and that recorded upon the return of the vehicle multiplied by the fuel price displayed at the branch, plus a refueling charge of 6 GBP. Unused or excess fuel will not be refunded. |
Renter Requirements | All drivers must present a full valid driving license. If the driving license is written in a language and characters different to those of the country of rental, an International Driving Permit is also required. Renters are advised to check whether local authorities require foreign drivers to present an International Driving Permit to avoid the risk of potential fines. Renters with licenses from countries who are not part of the International Driving Permit Agreement should carry a certified translation. |
All renters must produce a valid photo ID such as driving license, passport or ID card. Visitors to the UK must also provide proof of return travel and accommodation information while in the UK. | |

Roadside Assistance | Emergency contact details for 24 hour roadside assistance can be found on the rental contract. Dependant on the circumstances, we reserve the right to not replace the vehicle and pass on specific repair/callout charges to the customer. |
Roadside Assistance Protection (RAP) | Roadside Assistance Protection (RAP) is an optional 24-hour emergency service including tyre and glass repair or replacement costs except when part of a larger repair, replacement keys costs and all recovery and call out charges as result of a fault caused by the renter. RAP does not apply if there is a breach of the rental agreement or if a wrong fuel type is used. The renter pays a flat-rate fee that covers all roadside assistance services. Before purchasing RAP, it is advised to determine if a personal coverage is adequate to cover these charges. If RAP is declined, the renter will be required to pay any applicable charges and seek compensation from the carrier of personal coverage. RAP is not insurance. |

Cross Border Policy | There is no charge for taking the vehicle to Northern Ireland. No vehicles rented from Enterprise Rent-A-Car can be taken out of Mainland Ireland. Renter Requirement | Must meet the location’s minimum age requirements of 25. All drivers must hold a full, valid national license. Irish/ UK License: Both the photo-card and paper counterpart must be produced. For old style paper licences, the driver must also provide an additional form of photographic ID in the form of a Full Valid Passport. Overseas Licence: International driving permit is required with all non European licences if the driving licence is written in a language or characters different to those of the renting country. Even when an International Driving License is required, a domestic licence must be provided. UK residents that hold a non-EU license may drive in the UK for up to 12 months from the time they become a resident. After 12 months, the overseas licence will be deemed illegal in the UK and it must be exchanged for the UK equivalent. A renter holding a non-UK licence must produce a full valid passport at the time or rental and the reservation name must match the name on the driving licence. Please note, we reserve the right to request additional ID or conduct further identification checks if needed which may include an identity check with an external credit organisation There is not not maximum age to rent. |
Payment Policy | All major Credit cards (no debit cards) are accepted. On collection of the vehicle, the rental charge at a €500.00 security deposit will be charged to your card. On acceptable return of the vehicle, the security deposit will be credited. Payment is not accepted by either Cash or Cheque. All debit or credit cards must be in the name of the renter and present at the time of rental. All cards must be present at the time of rental. We do not accept Cash, Prepaid, Currency, Dinners club, Discover or Maestro Cards. |

Roadside Assistance Protection (RAP) | Roadside Assistance Protection (RAP) is a mutual agreement between Enterprise and the renter by which Enterprise agrees to relinquish its entitlement to collect for tyre damages, breakdown call out service, any glass damages and lock out and lost key service . Coverage is subject to the actions that negate RAP, as stated in the rental agreement. |
