Day 1: Carton House, Co. Kildare, Ireland
Arrive at Dublin Airport and transfer to Carton House by Luxury Coach. Take the rest of the day to rest up, relax and enjoy the fabulous amenities of this 5* resort and your luxury accommodations in an eighteenth century Palladian Mansion. This evening enjoy a welcome dinner in the historic Morrison Room.
Day 2: Ballyseede Castle, Co. Kerry, Ireland
This morning travel to the nearby Irish National Stud to learn about Ireland’s great affiliation with horse breeding – afterwards enjoy a stroll through the Japanese Gardens. Continue South to Co. Cork and visit Blarney Castle before enjoying a brief stop at Blarney Woolen Mills. Continue on to Tralee and your next castle stay including dinner at Ballyseede Castle.
Day 3: Ballyseede Castle, Co. Kerry, Ireland
Today enjoy a tour of the Ring of Kerry to see some of Ireland’s most famous scenery. Stop off at an Irish farm to enjoy a sheepdog display. In the afternoon you will have some free time to explore the Muckross Estate. Take a stroll through the gardens or enjoy an optional visit to Muckross House or Muckross Farms. This evening choose to dine in one of Killarneys many fine restaurants before returning to Ballyseede Castle.
Day 4: Glenlo Abbey, Co. Galway, Ireland
After a leisurely breakfast travel to Adare where you will enjoy some free time to explore Ireland’s prettiest village. Continue on to Limerick and visit the impressive King John’s Castle. Later, check in to Glenlo Abbey where you are in for a real treat as tonight you will dine in the historic surroundings of original carriages from the Orient Express.
Day 5: Glenlo Abbey, Co. Galway, Ireland
Today you will have a day free to explore the sights and sounds of Galway. Enjoy a stroll through the Claddagh and out along the Galway Promenade in Salthill before purchasing a famous Claddagh Ring as a momento of your trip. You will have time to enjoy an early dinner in Galway before your evening’s entertainment featuring the best of Irish music and dance at Trad on the Prom.
Day 6: Ashford Castle, Co. Mayo, Ireland
Your first stop this morning will be Connemara Celtic Crystal where you will be treated to a freehand glass cutting demonstration. Afterwards, drink in some of the most beautiful scenery in Connemara as you make your way to Kylemore Abbey. Traverse the Sky Road to see stunning views of the Atlantic and explore the quaint town of Clifden. Then it’s on to Ashford Castle for a two night stay where you will enjoy dinner in the unique setting of Cullen’s restaurant in the castle grounds.
Day 7: Ashford Castle, Co. Mayo, Ireland
Today is a day of relaxation to enjoy all that Ashford Castle has to offer. Optional activities include golf, fishing, horse riding, archery, clay pigeon shooting, falconry or a cruise on the lake. Perhaps take a stroll into the nearby village of Cong, where The Quiet Man was filmed. In the evening, re-join your group for dinner in George IV, Ashford Castle’s fine dining restaurant (jacket required).
Day 8: Dromoland Castle, Co. Clare, Ireland
Bid a fond farewell to Ashford Castle as you make your way south to visit Aillwee Caves to explore the underground caverns and enjoy a Birds of Prey flight demonstration. Later drive through the unique and awe inspiring landscape of the Burren to visit the Cliffs of Moher. Arrive at Dromoland Castle early enough to enjoy the amenities on offer at this 5* resort. This evening you will dine in the Earl of Thomond restaurant at Dromoland Castle (jacket required).
Day 9: Home
Bid a fond farewell to your driver/guide as you transfer to Shannon Airport to board your flight home.
