Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I was born and raised in Brazil. I have 22 years in the Hospitality/Travel Industry. My corporate hotel experience has allowed me the wonderful opportunity of working and living in London, Geneva, Dubai, Atlanta and Scottsdale. I speak four languages (English, Portuguese, French and Spanish). Cleveland, Ohio is home now where I live with my spouse. We love to travel both domestically and internationally. I believe the common thread to a great vacation is great accommodations. So the quality of properties and the convenience of the locations we choose to stay at play a big role in the enjoyment of our trips.
How was your first trip to Ireland?
We had a very balanced itinerary so we did not feel rushed (eight nights in four cities). It was a wonderful trip! We felt adventurous so we opted to drive from Dublin to Limerick then Killarney and lastly Kilkenny. Every segment of our trip was special. We loved biking in the Aran Islands (always say yes to the electric bike option!).
We chose to view the Cliffs of Moher from the water via ferry to the Aran Islands. This part of the world is truly magical! We already have plans to go back to explore the top half of the Emerald Isle and Northern Ireland.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy biking, walking in the parks, working out, listening to music, going to the theater and hosting parties with family and friends. We have been to the Toronto Film Festival many times and we watch two to three movies per day during our stay.
What is a travel tip you would like to share?
Don’t overpack so there is a good reason for shopping! Having an apple or some other nutritious snack on the plane does wonders for your overall well-being when flying. Advance planning is a big part of the joy we get from traveling so we like to have a few trips planned out a year or two in advance. However, last-minute trips can be fantastic as well!
