Tell me about yourself!
Born and raised in Michigan, I obtained a Business degree from Western Michigan University. After graduating, I spent three years in Hawaii, diving with turtles near an active volcano while working on a self-sustaining farm. Craving a change of scenery, I moved to Berlin’s concrete jungle for eight years. I worked extensively in hospitality, customer service, and Berlin’s UNESCO protected techno scene. I traveled to 15 countries and fell in love with my now husband, Steve. Craving sunshine, we recently moved to Tulum, Mexico for where we now reside with our wonderful dog, Toa.
What was your favorite place to visit?
Italy, but specifically road tripping through the Swiss Italian border and Lake Como. Venice and Rome are fantastic, but there’s something insanely romantic about driving through endless curvy mountain roads amongst countryside wineries. I’ve been to Italy 4 times and I’m always waiting to go back. Aside from the beautiful scenery and language, I am in love with Italian food and wine (who isn’t?!).
Where do you want to visit that you haven’t yet?
My next destination for a weekend trip is Medellin, Colombia. The Salar de Uyuni salt flats in Bolivia is the next to cross off my bucket list. I would also love to explore more of the Greek Islands, especially Santorini.
What do you like to do besides work and travel?
I am into fitness and health so I spend a lot of my free time at the gym, yoga, or swimming in the sea. I enjoy long walks with my husband and dog and trying all the taco stands in town. I’ve been to lots of music festivals and happiest when I am dancing with friends!
